James Prior, CMCT

 James’s current role at Barclaycard in London is to define and deliver the Global Leadership Development and Culture strategy.  He has completed his Master’s at Middlesex University on Leadership Design and Development and holds a BSc from the Open University as well.

His last role was Head of Learning & Organizational Development at AstraZeneca UK where he was responsible for the Development and Delivery of the Academy strategy with in the UK Sales & Marketing Business.  This included sales training as well as functional training.  He left the organization in January 2009 to join Lloyds Banking Group as Executive Leadership Development Manager his Role was to define and Launch the new Executive Development strategy within the new Lloyds Banking Group, however this did not pan out to be the role that he thought and he left 6 months later to join Barclaycard.

James also facilitates High Impact Leadership Program based on David McClelland’s work and is an accredited trainer of People Change from Kaisen.

James has 2 children, both girls so they play a big part in his life. He is also a big rugby fan and so rugby plays a big role within his family, they are season ticket holders at Wasps, and often travel to home and away games. He loves reading and tries to keep fit.
