Debbie Hixson, M.A, M.Ed is Senior Organization Development Consultant from Kaiser Permanente. She is a National Board Certified Counselor and is also certified to teach Accelerating Implementation Methodology and PROSCI Change Management to managers and project managers, Facilitative Leadership (leadership course), and Confronting Difficult Issues (conflict management course).
“Part of the reason I was so drawn to get my certification is because I wanted to use the POP to teach our managers how the principles can be effective in their persuasion with staff as they articulate change - specifically what the change is, why it is necessary and what they need from staff in a more compelling way that leads to adoption of specific changes.”
Debbie Hixson’s experience includes:
Career Development and Management Continuity Specialist: She developed a Career Management program at Kaiser Permanente and taught managers how to develop their staff. In addition, Debbie taught staff how to manage their careers. She created career ladders and a competency system and was also a Performance Management Consultant. Moreover, Debbie developed the performance management system at Kaiser Permanente.
Debbie Hixson’s BA is in Psychology from the University of Maryland. She earned her M.Ed. in Counseling and Educational Psychology for the University of Missouri-Columbia and an M.A. in Organization Development from Marymount University.
